i'm bi,and i've been hiding it for a while now.i just started coming out to people at school this year and i'm trying to be more open about who i am.my mom doesn't like gay people at all, she's not homophobic or anything she just doesn't like gays.i really want to tell her and i've decided that i will,i just don't know when is the best time.i'm really too much of a chicken to tell her in person so i wrote her a letter.when do you think i should give it to her?
Personally? I think you should give it to her right away. You're not "gay" at all. You're bisexual, which is totally different. People group sexual orientations too much if you ask me.
She might not be happy with it at first, but it's probably due to shock. She's your mother, she'll love you regardless. And it's not that you're chicken, you're just worried of what people will think of you. That's totally normal. Don't stress it.
Give her the letter. And best of luck.
Write if you need more, and lots of love.
