Mom + Dad,
       I’m writing this note because I’ve been keeping a secret (so to say). I never knew how to tell you, so I figured this would be the best way, so here it goes. I’m transgendered. Don’t get scared or upset. I’m not a freak. 1 in 500 births are trans. (Trans means born the wrong gender, so I’m male, not female like the outside shows.) This is not a choice. Why would I choose to hate myself? That’s just stupid. Also, there was nothing you did wrong to “make” me this way. I was born this way, so don’t beat yourselves up. I hope you can accept me and love me for who I am. I just want to be happy. I know this is a bad time, things are rough. However, I’ve known for over a year now, and it’s been eating away at me. I’m sick of feeling fake. I’m ready to shed this outer shell and be who I really am. Some of my friends know, and accept me. I hope you can do the same.

I'm giving it to them tomorrow. They'll find it and read it while I'm at work. After work I'll be going to a friends (straight there, her boyfriends bringing me there) and then we're going to a concert. So I won't be home all day. I'm excited. Im so sick of being depressed, It's my time now. =]
