The Northeastern LGBT Conference (NLGBTC) is an annual conference
working to unite our diverse community through education, activism and
LGBTQA student, faculty and community networking through out the
Northeast.
This Conference is entirely student run and aimed at reaching out to other LGBTQA Students.
In the past this conference has pulled more than 500 students from all over the NORTHEAST!!
Since
its conception this conference has worked to bring action and voice to
the inequitys LGBTQ students and community members face on a daily
bases.
Over the years this conference has evolved from its high
activist and ralley days to the educational forum and LGBT student
empowerment it stands for today.
Over the years however we have
never lost site of our political back ground and the privledge we have
to hold such a large scale event.
That is why it has been the
mission of this conference to provide a safe space for students,
faculty and community members to come together and be OUT and open
about the issues facing the LGBT community at large.
It is our
goal that through the colaborative efforts of this conferences student,
faculty and community board members we will provide the information and
tools necessary for our past, present, and future attendees to create
change on and off their college campuses.
We are the future LGBTQA leaders of change thats why this years conference has been titled :
