It kind of depends. If you liked the person first and your friend already knew about it then i dont think that its fair for you to give up. especially if the person that you like has the same feelings for you then you should go for it. maybe you should just keep talking to the person and take it however it goes.

Um... personally... I think whether you choose... it could possibly alter your friendship with your best friend... and to me.. that wouldn't be worth it at all. Your best friend was there first and will be there long after... I say you both pass on this person and keep your friendship.
