ok so i figured out that i am gay because i fell in love with my best friend. I mean head over heals. and she totally broke my heart. i couldnt even function. anyways i still am in love with her and i always will be but i have fallen in love with my new best friend. and i dont want to go through the same heartace again. this time however i don't know if she feels the same way. with my first love i knew all along that she didnt feel the same way, but this time i am receiving hints that maybe she likes me too. i am so afraid to tell her because if she doesnt feel the same then i have lost my best friend too. advice please!!!!!!!!!

Hmm.... that's a toughy because sometimes the signals can be mixed.  I guess it depends on the type relationship (friendship) you already have with her like... if you guys are already touchy feeling.... then just try getting closer with her like holding her or something and see how she reacts...

Haha, been there done that. lol. yea we're really touchy feely but i just wonder if shes just being my best friend or if shes having feelings for me. i mean people have thought that we are more than just friends sooooo its really confussing. ahhhhhhh

hi, I've been in the same situation and I was so scared of loosing the friendship that I didn't make a move. Then after a while our friendship just sort of fell to pices and I ended up really regretting not making a move.
Does she know your les? If not, come out to her and see how she reacts. If its a good reaction try flirting with her, if its a bad reaction just let the topic drop and try and be friends. It might not be what you want but its better then loosing a best friend.
Well thats my advice anyway, I don't know if that idea would work for you two, really depends on the ppl involved. I wish you the best of Luck

Yeah my relationship with my first friend that I was in love with fell to pieces too, but now we're trying to work things out and I finally came out to her and told her how I have felt about her for all of these years and she couldn't care less. In fact, it's made her want to get to know me again, sooo I'm hopeful with my present situation. I just haven't had the courage to tell my best friend yet, even though she has asked me if I'm gay before. Soo I think she already knows. I am just so afraid of losing her. of losing any part of her for that matter. i don't want anything to change and I know that it will no matter how she reacts. I am just afraid that our relationship will change for the worse. Anyways thanks for the advice!!!!!! I'm really confused and have no one to talk to about it.  ???

I was actually in the same circumstance,
but I never told my friend because I knew they were straight.
Although, there are definitely ways to show how you feel without
being direct. For example you could ask a slew of questions relative
to the topic, without ever giving your opinion. Hypothetical situations can work.
Or you could make it seem like an experience you've had, and see what her opinion would be.

I.E-

This might sound stupid, but its just an idea.

"I was at a party a while ago, and it was dying down [[or we all got drunk and...]] decided to play Truth or Dare. Well... my dare was to kiss the girl across from me...

((She will probably ask if you did, if you say yes, you can see what her reaction is.))
((Or you can ask her what she would have done in that situation))

or, another example could be

"I recently found out that one of my old friends ((its more believable if you say they're from a different school, that way it's not questioned as to who it was)) used to have a crush on me, she asked me if anything would have ever happened between us if I knew. What would you do if you found out something like that?"
