I feel really bad.
My sister just left with her boyfriend going out to eat then going to the high school prom.
My sister, as beautiful as always, looked stunning with her dress and made-up hair.
Her boyfriend looked alright too.
As they drove off, I regretted everything.. my boyfriend wanted me to go to that exact same prom.
He told me a couple weeks ago he wanted me to go to his prom.
I said, "It's a little too late to ask me right now, yeah?"
He said it's fine, he's going to go.. and his excuse.. "My sister said I have to go to my prom regardless".
I don't know if that's really true or not but I feel bad, really bad now that i'm not going.

Sure, I didn't have the time to go out and rent or buy a tux, get all nice looking and go.
I never got to go to my high school prom and I think this could've been the last chance I had to go.
I know a lot of people say prom is overrated, yeah I have to agree but it would've been amazing.. to just go with my current boyfriend and make a difference.

Are there any Altern. Proms near you that are within the month? You could bring him to one of those and apologize for not going. Tell him how you regret it.

my prom was pretty cool.
i did think it was overrated...and at $50 a ticket, it kinda was.
but the only reason why i went was so my good friend amanda could go. (she got her GED and never got to go to hers.) and we both went together. she was my date for the night. and she dressed up in this sexy corset and a tie (with pants, obviously.) we actually had a good time.
but honestly, if you didnt go to prom, dont beat yourself up over it. its not really a big thing to miss.
