How do you feel about peopling using the word "gay" in a derogative manner? If you don't care, why not, and if you do, why, and is it any different from saying "retarded"?

Most of the time, people don't even realize they're using it in a derogative manner, so I don't generally hold it against people. Though ignorance doesn't make it any more justifiable. In general, I don't that believe groups of people should be likened to demeaning words, for example, I won't go around saying that someone is a retard or a breeder. Just my thoughts.
