Turn
When night is you
And dawn a dream
Tasted, but never felt;
When hope is a vanity
Stolen to survive
(stolen from you
twice as fast);
When life is an alibi
For every crime
Your heart has felt;
When your
Deep down wildfire
Can battle no more rain—
This world will carry you
In atmospheric arms
And do the moving
You’ve come to regret.
Never stopping, never thinking,
It turns to forget.
The turning of a page,
The turning of a season,
The turning of a tide—
Turns make us,
Break us and are.
They’ll save you if
You have the soul to try.
So when will you turn?
(a tree weeping colors)
And why will it feel
So holy inside
Your newborn breath?
(a sky kissing rain)
The answers leak through
Every dream beneath
Your turning eyelids.

The Gay Manifesto
I am the son of whispered centuries,
Of fearful minds and troubled times,
Low slung eyes and cast aside crimes.
I have inherited secrets, I have been
Baptized by unquestioned lies;
I have been ravaged by submission
And softly assured it’s better
To quietly lose than loudly win.
Cruel history, you have birthed for us
A brutal architecture in which to live;
You have poisoned us with precedents
And turned examples into terrorists.
You have killed with different hands,
But the same soul, the same sweating eyes;
You have taught us the consequences
Of being different, as you’ve taught us
Only quiet can turn the world away.
Crown of savage silence,
I wear you with no pride.
Brothers and sisters of rainbow skies,
Rise up from your self-shadows, realize
Love cannot shine in shadows, just like
Stars cannot bloom while suns betray.
Cast aside the crumbling armor
Of absolution by hypocrisy,
Rend the reign of hate’s equation
By refusing to be a variable.
Rise from your psychic shackles—rise!
Revolution dances in your eyes,
Evolution echoes through your minds;
Kiss the tempest lurking though all mankind,
Embrace the loudness light can be.
You are the detonation of salvation,
The pioneers of freedom,
The warriors of liberty—
Let your cries stain the silence.
[Never let them be erased.]

Created On: 06/23/2007 18:32:55 Yes, i am quite insane. i reply the second you write a comment. aw, braces suck massive buffalo testicles. I used to have them until i was eating rock candy and i broke them off and swallowed them. My dentist never trusted me with them again.
My sister's actually double majoring in english and film studies. She's gonna go into like journalism and some other cow babies. Not quite sure.
Vegetables. they make my life a musical. but not really. not a big fan. big enough fan that if they were in concert i would buy tickets, but not so big a fan that i would eat them every day
Created On: 06/19/2007 12:46:09 Ah yes Dubai. It's fun. But not for living. I used to live there, and it was like living in a giant uterus.
Rafael Nadal? After you mentioned his name, he became a victim of my Google Image Search. I'd love to play with his balls. Tennis balls, that is.
Future career plans? I haven't given it a single thought. Although, once school starts up again i'm doing this diploma program called the International Bacculurate program (google it, it's quite hard to explain how it works) but basically, it's where you're assigned 6 courses that last 2 years, at the end of which you take a massive exam covering those 2 years of information. Along with those 6 courses you're expected to do 150 hours of CAS (Creativity, Action and Service), write an extended essay and take a Theory of Knowledge class. By doing so, i'll graduate with both a high school diploma and an IB diploma.
I have no idea why im doing this IB program. Pretty much i was pressured into it by teachers. Oh well. Anyways, three of my courses are higher level (pretty much the same as AP, just more in depth). My three HL courses are Spanish, Visual Arts, and Biology. Sooo, i guess my future would have to do with one of those three things.
Don't hate me for stretching your profile and taking up like a massive amount of space, pretty much talking about nothing. What about your future plans?
Created On: 06/18/2007 10:42:44 Eh...Here isn't so fun either. Well, my city is boring. I live in the capital. But like an hour away from here is Dubai, which is massive truck-loads of fun.
Art...I like Renaissance art, generally from Italy. And surrealism. By the way, i love Turn and The Gay Manifesto. And i like lemonade too.
So, you play tennis? Like with a racket and a ball? With a net? And tennis shoes? And those awesome tiny shorts? And a headband? And perhaps a wrist band? I don't play many sports. Although i run like little kids run from Micheal Jackson.
Created On: 06/17/2007 11:54:23 Sigh, best friend i really do live in the United Arab Emirates. Quite a depressing place. It's sort of like a Punnet Square. When you cross all the generations the alleles change from dominant to recessive. And then I'm in the Genotype and Phenotype.
Created On: 06/17/2007 00:55:07 You've inspired me. I'm going to build you a house made of oil pastels. Similar to a log cabin, but much more colorful and gay-friendly. We can be best friends in the Pastel Cabin Of Insanity.
Created On: 06/15/2007 05:12:11 Yeah...it sucks. Im not desperate for a relationship, but at the same time it would be nice. I mean, gosh am pretty amazing. Haha...no joke. lol. I like your writing by the way.
Created On: 06/11/2007 18:39:42 Haha, well it sounds slightly familiar. I know I am nowhere near you though. St. Lois is like 4 or 5 hours away. I live by the Quad Cities.
Created On: 06/11/2007 13:28:17 A few things:
1 You look very good.
2 I play double bass. Pretty much the same thing as sax, right? lol
3 Love your profile.
4 Love the Gay Manifesto. BEAUTIFUL!
OK. That's all I wanted to say...
